Introduction to our educators
| All educators currently hold a Level 2 First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Training & a current Working with Children check or VIT. All educators aid in maintaining a healthy, happy, loving, caring and trusting family feeling in the centre, where each child has a strong sense of independence and self worth. Do not hesitate to seek advice, make suggestions, and inform our staff of your routine at home or to simply inquire as to your child's day-to-day activities at Gum Nut. You are encouraged to communicate with our co-ordinator and or senior educators, regarding any problem you may have with the day-to-day workings of Gum Nut. The centre provides all meals, prepared by our wonderful cook Darrin. Meals are varied, nutritional, interesting and yummy!!! We tempt children's taste buds with a variety of foods. We also individually tailor meals to suit any special dietary or medical needs. Our Menus and the food used, are displayed at our sign in area and on our family portal. We are always happy to receive any ideas from our friends & families. |  |
Funded Kindergarten | Our 4 year old Funded Kindergarten is made up of a dynamic Early Childhood Team who collaborate to enrich the kinder experience for our children. Yih En (Hannah) (Masters of Early Years and Primary) Hearan (Helen), Alex and Victor make up our 4 year old kindergarten team, they have passion for creating environments where children have fun and explore their natural surroundings. They use natural materials and child focused approaches in the programming to stimulate and extend children's learning. |
Magpie team | Betty (Meisa) (Bachelor of Early Childhood Education), Michelle (Advanced Diploma of Children's Services) and Mariella. This dynamic group are highly responsive to children's needs and developmental interests, creating an adventurous journey over the Government Funded 3 year old Kinder. |
The Koala team | Rasika, Niaz, Athirah (Diploma of Early Childhood Education & Care), Narmada & Dilumini (studying Diploma of Early Childhood Education & Care) Together they provide an exciting and stimulating program, encouraging great learning and independence for our dynamic Koalas. |
Wombat team | Rosario (Rose), Hannah. W (Diploma of Early Childhood Education & Care), Arizona, Laura & Jeet. Together they provide a great learning and caring environment for the Wombats toddlers. |
Possum team | Katie (Diploma of Early Childhood Education & Care), Courtney, DeAnne (Cert III, studying Diploma of Early Childhood Education & Care). Are our gentle and dynamic team who together provide a responsive and stimulating program for our babies. |
Centre Coordinator and Nominated Supervisor | Maxine (Advanced Diploma of Children's Services) with Tiffany fulfilling the role of second in charge, Tiffany has her (Advanced Diploma of Community Sector Management).
